Varnish anti-rape nail study

Varnish
A nail polish able to spot traces of drugs in a drink born and could prevent many cases of rape.
Many sexual predators assault their victims out of nightclubs, after
slipping drugs into their drinks. To avoid this type of drama, of North Carolina University students have devised a nail polish "anti-rape".

The principle of Undercover Colors is simple: just to the wearer to immerse his fingers into his drink, and varnish benchmark possible traces of GHB or Xanax.

"When we think of major societal problems, about drugs that can facilitate aggression arose (...). We wanted to focus on preventive solutions, especially those that could be incorporated into products that women already use" says Ankesh Madan, one of the creators, in an interview to the website Higher Education Works.

This varnish is not yet commercially available, its creators currently raising the funds needed to launch.
